Now anyone who turns their nose up at either The Clone Wars or Star Wars Rebels animated series's  really is missing out of a wealth of canon ideas for gaming potential.

Introducing C1-10P or 'Chopper' i(C1 Astromech) from Rebels.

Btw: C1-10P's appearance is directly inspired from concept artist Ralph McQuarrie's original Episode IV design sketches for R2-D2.

Anyway a spare R5 was clipped and filed and shortened in both body drum and legs.

More to do sculpting wise plus some manipulators to add I've nicked from a spare probot!

Hurr hurr hurr!

May I ask were did you get those blades from?

So WEG conversions.

As u can see, being a gamer of a certain age I have no issue with cutting up old lead.

So armed with a fair few Ithorians i fancied doing s few more force users. Twins: one turned to the light, the other fell to darkness. (I also love the idea of a dual blade jedi sabre too!).

With a third I added a little silly sunhat for a tattoonie denizen. (A little stretch gonk idea I'd seen before that i fancied trying out....more later).

Sabre hilts drilled for acrylic blades.

Ok so with Rogue One out there now on I've started working on a few things from the film.

First off: Presenting my take on the TX-225 Occupier GAV combat assault tank.

Now I bet you're thinking, 'hang on this is a replusor lift vehicle? Well thank the Rogue One Ultimate visual guide it's been confirmed that there are two models: a repulsor lift version and a tracked one. The tracked version see in operstion on Jeddha.

Loads to do still but essentially a matilda tank body (no turret) that will undergo further significant modifications to create an approximation of the on screen tank.
Side armour weapons, fixed mount twin chin weapons.

More to follow...

I hadn't checked out your Star Wars thread in many months, so I got to see a whole lot of WEG goodness in one shot. I love it all. The TX-225 looks amazing. I'm really looking forward to seeing where this one goes.
Oh, and I now need to get some extra jawas, because I really need a Hoth Jawa.

Sorry for the late reply. After looking around the lead mountain I was able to find an old WOTC Jawa that will fit the purpose wonderfully. It matches the Imperial Assault scale a little better too. Thank you for the offer.

Juvenile Rodian painted, (just a few more highlights to do in his eyes).

Made this a while ago using a 15mm GZG freebie mini i got for last year's salute with a micro machines greedo head.

Nice bit of wet blending on the snout even if i do say so myself. (Went for this skin tone/eye colour from SW battefront).

Note to all 15mm minis are great for young characters and smaller alien races.

A few updates:

Got my rebel troop sled back from the casters. Managed to very quickly paint one up and load it with stuff.Work starts on a stretch sled. (New R2 & Rodian paints too).

Very pleased indeed with how they've come out.

Side tracked into finishing two more minis. Another Rodian Juv using a gzg 15mm mini and pressmoulded head and a cut and shut Duros spacer using greedo torso, TIE fighter pilot legs and crooked dice space 1999 styled helmet. Few more highlights to do and base but so far so good.

So more cutting and chopping. I had a headless Boushh body since i nabbed the helmet for my Jedha rebels. Had a bit of a ponder.... added a gs ball, cut out the staff weapon and added a few pastic bits from the dreamforge Eisenkern stormtrooper kit. Extendable stock as a targetter, a few packs and added a weapon from the kit. And vola! Outer rim Bounty Hunter. MIght adda strap to the blaster.... we'll see.

Then just a cut and barrel swop on a spare Greedo. Nice blastech like weapon rather than a pistol.

I highly recommend getting the kit. Whilst 28mm (the troopers are awesome for other projects. But alot of the kit aand equipment scales really nicely.
