And does anyone else have the urge to build a post-apoc big box store, and call it HoloCostco?

I'll get my hat...

Thumbs up. Snorted my coffee.

And I realized, looking at the photos, that there is no comparison shot, so, here you are.

'E's a big 'un.

And we have the first of a group I am painting in pairs - one hostage/captive, and one not. It took some work, but I found enough models that were 'close enough' to use for it.

I actually got 3 of this model from my godchildren, who decided Hulk wasn't cool anymore, and they had a bunch of these from their Happy Meals, as well as the smaller one who throws dumpsters. I, of course, used the dumpsters as well for Fallout terrain - they are the orange ones that pop up in my terrain shots.

I had purchased several sets when they were available from an ebay seller when I first started doing Fallout. The whole lot seems to be gone now - I couldn't find them when I started looking again. God thing I bought 4 sets of 4 when I did.

And a few more of my captive/freed pairs.

And I made some new tokens for people to try and take. I found a printable set of caps that I could glue onto pop caps.

It sure is an inspiration. despite the amounts of metal still in need of paint, I'm finding it hard to control the urge to make something similar.  o_o
I too ordered 16 Marx cars on ebay some month ago. Unfortunatly they didn't show up yet.  :?

I did find 2 BMW Iszetta's in a toy store though at 1/43 (€5/piece) from the brand cararama.
you can find it on their site : www.hongwell.com
products => 1/43 => 251
also have a look at 148. features a nice caravan for powder gangers  :)

Majorsmith - thanks, I think they are fun, and they are going to be my encounter chips - will they be loot, or a Deathclaw?

And here is our latest group - a Raider named Mad Dog, and his herd of hounds...

I couldn't figure out why they came out shiny, and then I realized I had used my satin spray, not the matte. Oh well - that can be fixed.

Onward to more townsfolk and few mercs!

You didn't think I had stopped working on this project, I hope?

We present, General Atomics Robobrain!

He was made up of some old jewelry, a tube, and spare treads off some lead tank I had...

And for the well armored Vault Dwellers, we have something a bit more durable than mere security armor. This is to represent a group of Vault Dwellers who had access to a bit more in the way of materials. We call it combat armor with radiation suit qualities - but some of you will probably call it first generation Rogue Trader Eldar Pirates.

And I felt I needed some pools of gunk, and maybe a bit of water. I used a textured vinyl laminate on plasticard to give me a backing, and than spread inks on the surface. I worked very well, actually.

And more yet to come - I am almost done with my Hasslefree 'Reilly's Rangers', and a few more Raiders, some Brotherhood, and a few Enclave. Busy busy busy!
