I'd say they all look nice, but also oversized (hillbilly as well as geckos)
Ah well, that's the uncertainty of radiation and mutation for you. You never know what you'll end up with  ;)

They are, but I couldn't help it with the hillbilly, and I wanted to use the Monsterpocalypse figures somehow.  I am only repainting the 'clear' special character ones - any others I am simply doing my special Fallout Shade wash on (I use it on all of the figures at some stage - it helps tie them all together, and it took me a year or two to get to the ratio I wanted (10 drops raw umber ink, 5 drops burnt sienna, 3 drops yellow ochre, 2 drops black, to 40 drops Magic Wash) and using them straight up. I just call them super-Geckos, and move on until someone gives me a better model option.

And no, I am not making Tarna, or Den, or even the dude with a rotary saw for a hand.  Wrong kind of post-apoc for me.

Fun movie, though.

And so, with a paid day off and heat too high for us here in the Northwest of the US (it should be mid-80's, and we just extended our record period of days above 90 degrees by yet another day - bleh) I decided to jump on the diner bandwagon, and get it finished.  Now, I don't know about all of you, but I found a way to sneak a live mine into Moriarty's pocket in every playthrough, just to help out Gob.  He didn't deserve Moriarty's abuse, dammit.

So, I decided that he might get away somehow, and become a cook with a diner in, I dunno, Andale?  Offer some new options?  Or maybe reopen the one in Greyditch.

And the man himself!

And his assistant, a reformed raider who know all kinds of recipes for meats...

Step on up, and feel free to order!

Finally Gob gets is do.

Damned right he gets his due.

I only have one real problem - anyone know where I can get a radio the right size and style of the game?  Or am I going to have to make one of the bloody things?

Living room - like this:

Although one of the HAM radios would be good as well.

I am working on something like that, actually.  As well as an impromptu merchants' tent, so that wandering merchants can set up as they come through for a day or so.  You know, rather than stand there looking pretty until you walk up to them.

lol lol that's fantastic.

The story, the work on the diner, and Gob's smiley face. That's a cracking little set for a game. :-* Though I may stick to the Brahmin pie, and avoid the 'chicken'

Cheers
Matt.

I can't find any doll house ones the right size.  And yes, this is a Plasticville diner.

Give the 'pulled pork' a try...the taste will 'hook' you first time!

Well, if nothing else, the heat that keeps me from going out and doing yardwork is giving me plenty of time to make and paint stuff.

Welcome to the market!

First, I built some stalls from sprue and popsicle sticks.

And I dragged out an unfinished Built-Up Area for DBA that was lost when we quit the campaign, and with a little more work...

And then outfitted the stalls.

And put them all together.

And then slapped a bit of paint on it.

The stalls can be pulled out - I did not glue them in so that I can use them separately from the compound.
