HMS Leviathan V
« on: January 14, 2011, 05:13:53 PM »
hi everyone!

finally, i'll get into aeronef too! i think i missed that a lot.

i'm planning to make a capitalship for the british army. it is 10 cm long (120 mtrs), with the upper dock meant to be a nice garden, with a small mansion and a glass gallery, and the lower docks for the cannons and weapons.

for now i've just made some drawings, and a CAD projects for some basic lasercuts. after those, i'll proceed with my cutter and some materials on it.

hope you like:

i've added the "V", because i've discovered that have already been other 4 hms leviathan. i suppose that i've to continue the dinasty! ^^

This looks like an exciting project. The blueprints look good! It's going to be huge!

That bastard's going to be huge.

Have you been in close proximity to Akula or GamerMac?  Did they bite you?  I think you've been infected.
This is my boomstick!

In the original post Sangennara says 10 cm long. Not that big. I don't think it is intended to be 28 mm. No so sure what 120 mtrs are?
Should it just be 120 m or 120 mm?
I presume the cad drawing is the actual size.

lol! it is meant for aeronef, so it is on scale 1:1200. 10 cm means 120 mtrs, if i am right! :)

that's why i chose for the laser cuts: some of those parts are thinner than 1mm, and i want to make them really precise. :(

No wonder the confusion: aeronef tends to suggest generic, Aeronef the specific.  lol

Most worthy game; I've quite enjoyed the unfortunately few plays I've had.

However, hope this spills over into some 28mm aeronefs as well. The 'sticky' needs new blood!
