Pulp WIP, a plane, a Dame, a car [new Pics Feb 5]
« on: January 19, 2011, 01:20:05 AM »
Here is my latest batch of WIP.
A 1/48 Testors PT-Ryan, a Pulp Dame & Bulldog, A Brigade Games Bulldog in hat & a 1925 Bugatti that will be converted into some pulpy goodness.

This last pic shows the Pulp Dame with an Artizan Thug to show the planes scale.

The plane was a sweet kit to put together with no real problems or flashing to deal with. The wing was one piece, perfect for kitbashing I would think. The only complicated part was putting in the wing wires, which I put in over scale for strength as this is a gaming piece after all that I will handle a lot whilst making airplane and dakka dakka noises. I also really love how perfefctly pulpy this plane looks. I just hope I dont screw up the painting.

I will post more [and not soooo blurry :?] pics as work progresses.
Thank you for looking,
Amalric

Ooh, with an open cockpit even, so figures can be in or out during the game.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the plane comes with the option of either regular wheels in the cool spats as I built it, or on a pair of floats to turn it into a seaplane. ;)

Well progress has been slow as I've been sick.
Having pneumonia really sucks.
Anyway here's what I've been able todo.

I added a tarp over the front seat as the aviatrix rarely flys with a passenger.

The start of painting, am going with a cream with Dark Green accent color scheme.

Heres the bugatti in the works.

First to drill out the rivits.

rivits drilled

Now I have a kit.

Now with the tires off I've got to remove the rear wheel posts as I'm making a 3 wheeler.

Now the posts are filed and filed with green stuff. When it dries I'll sand and start to paint.

Now for something completely different I threw together as I had some time left after greenstuffing the bugatti from bitz I've had laying around for too long.

Is it a summoning electro portal or something to recharge your robo-servant on?

Only time will tell.

Interesting use of GW parts there for your transmat device, very nice, I see lots of steel and blue tesla arcing lights.

Not sure about the plane though, appreciate its a basecoat but could have benefited from an undercoat 'key' as most things do.

Cheers
