Steampunk 28mm miniatures
« on: January 20, 2011, 06:31:44 PM »
Hello,

I am new to VSF, at least in 28mm. Could you point me to Steampunk or VSF 28mm miniatures manufacturers ?

I intend to convert some of them for a Star Wars Steampunk project.

Thanks
I wish I were an octopus to paint more miniatures...Cthulhu must be a great painter

There's a sticky above which lists most of the manufacturers. I would start with Ironclad for VSF and of course Lead Adventure for steam punk , but plenty more about

Thanks for the link, you are right and they have perfect stormtroopers too.

BTW I also found the league I was looking for for ages.

Now to be more effective I would like to find miniatures looking like these (I can convert them of course)

Those are great but you're veering into Warmachine territory with those

The Ratnik "Bonnie" mini is based on a Steampunk Concept-art of Leia, if I remember correctly.
I have the pic somewhere, have just to find it.

Edit:
Found the pic:

Not a bad idea.

The LAF mini is great for Leia.

This warmachine hordes mini would be spot on for Dengar (if you want to include some of the bountyhunters):

You are right he really looks like Dengar.

It would be easy (but expensive) to make a Bobba Fett : just change the helmet with a steampunk miniature.

Would these make nice stormtroopers or do you have another idea :

And Han Solo may be :
