Hellish monoliths
« on: September 18, 2007, 02:37:57 PM »
Inspired by the faboulous Hell Dorado table at TST in Bad Oldesloe, I made these:

Backside:

My favorite is the open mouth in the upper left, followed closely by the corpse-and-chains one in the middle. The right one... well, it is hell, it has to have skulls, doesn't it? What? Who said that?

I am halfway done painting them, I'll post more pictures when I'm done.

Any thoughts?

As do I! Cool stuff, and I look forward to seeing them painted up.

Thanks for the comments, guys!

I have an idea for a fourth one, covered with those glass puppet eyes, should look quite creepy.

Zoogla, they'll be released for Spiel in October, but I can add them to your parcel. I'll drop you a note.

Hurried paintjob:

Still my favorite detail, although the colour of the drool doesn't match with the mouth at all:

I tried to be a bit more colourful and not as dark as usual. Overall, I am quite pleased, but I guess I overdid the multi-coloured washes on the stones in places.

They look great. Reminds me of putting together a scenario around the movie "The Keep." :)

Excellent work and thanks for sharing!
Best wishes,
Helen
