SAVING CLONE RAYAN: Star Wars meets WH40K
« on: January 23, 2011, 04:00:45 PM »
Hello,
our Naran site has been updated with the pictures of the scenery "SAVE THE CLONE RAYAN - Star Wars meets Warhammer 40K", which we played at Progress Coffee (Turin) on January 20, 2011, in the event " NERD ATTACK! The return”, organized by" WHITERABBIT SURREAL EVENTS”.
The plot:
After the proclamation of the Galactic Empire, by the Lord Sidius, the troops of the Clones which had previously formed the Army of the Republic has passed to the orders of the new king and his henchman, Lord Vader.
With the deactivation of the droid army that operated under the orders of the Separatist Leaders, the galactic war can be considered ended. However, the Galaxy still can not be considered entirely peaceful and under the full control of the Empire. The war has left many star systems left to themselves, deprived of any connection to the central government. In the galactic vast territory of the peripheral system, many star systems, focal points of intergalactic routes are under the control of local boss, heads of criminal organizations, ferocious and unscrupulous, many of which, during the Clone Wars, had signed agreements with representatives of the Republic and also with the Jedis. While the Emperor, through his emissaries, began to make contact with such Boss, to get their submission (with good or bad), exploration missions have been sent in the most peripheral of the Galaxy, in order to identify the planets, possibly uninhabited, they can become the headquarters of the Imperial Police stations for the control of the spatial routes.
The exploration of the Omega Sector, considered the most extreme of the galaxy, has been entrusted to the 95th Legion.
During one of this scouting mission, a shuttle has had an accident while he was flying over and photographing the surface of a planet that was having to be completely deserted, although it has an atmosphere, gravity and weather conditions altogether adapted to living creatures like humans. For reasons to be determined, a restricted area on the plane is characterized by oddly shaped rock formations, sharp pinnacles of the instruments of control of the shuttle have suddenly gone into failure, causing the fall of the airplane in the rugged area. The catastrophic impact on the rock surface, the shuttle has practically disintegrated. From the distress signal came at the Command Center of the Legion, a few days after the incident, it appears that only one crew, the clone Rayan, has survived. Another shuttle rescue was sent to recover the survivor and, above all, the digital medium to the records made during the exploration mission in that sector of the galaxy, the Emperor considered much more important than the life of a simple Clone . Due to the uneven nature of the area in which the shuttle crashed, clones of the rescue team were forced to get off with their aircraft in another area free of obstacles, then walk to the point where there is the survivor to recover.
To their surprise, the Clones of the 95th Legion discover that the planet is not uninhabited....
An horde of monstrous aliens assaults the components of the Companions of the Clones, while they are reaching the clone Rayan.
At the end of the bloody battle, the mission is brought to completion, with the rescue of the clone Rayan and of the Company Commander. In the clash with the Selenites, they clones, however, have suffered substantial losses. After the battle had survived only 5 of them. They hade managed to escape (as a result of a reaction test).
For the 95 Legion Headquarter it is now the problem of retrieval the “Lost Patrol”, by sending on that planet e new most significant forces to face the Selenites.
