1:2400 VSF: the 1865 Anglo-American War
« on: January 29, 2011, 04:16:52 AM »
Hey Everyone,

I’ve just uploaded my first ‘blog’ for my new project, the 1865 Anglo-American War in 1:2400 scale. Me and a friend will be wargaming the naval campaign in the Northwest Atlantic. I’m modelling and playing the US Navy.

This war is of course fictitious, but it is based on historical possibility, and that’s sort of the central theme for the project. It’s mostly going to be real world warships backed up by weapons that would have been a real possibility at the time, like hot air balloons, submarines and possibly even dirigibles, but none of the sort of ‘crazy’, ‘out there’ steampunk kind of stuff like steam walkers and lightning projectors. Don’t get me wrong, steam and brass are lovely, but I thought some Scientific Romance would be nice for a change.

The first post is a scratch build of the USS Dunderberg. I fully intend to do a sort of ‘project log’ sorta thing.
If your interested please have a look and do tell me what you think.
