15mm Sci Fi Fort
« on: January 31, 2011, 12:59:09 AM »
Hi, everyone. I just posted a few pics on my blog of a little sci-fi forward base made from Combat Wombat Miniatures defense turrets and pods, with with Hirst Arts Sci-Fi bricks and walls made from plaster castings from and Ikea ice cube tray. Hope you like it.  :)

Thanks, the vinyl tile turned out to be a little more bendy than I would like, think I'd go with something stiffer in the future. (That's what she said- ah, beat you to it  :D) That little Ikea ice tray has come in handy, I've also used it for Jersey barriers in 28mm. Here's a couple of pics if you'd like to see how they sized up.

Looks VERY impressive!

And I love, love your idea bout using the Bullfrog Pods as buildings; they are DIRT CHEAP ($4 each!) and look quite good as prefab structures! :-* :-* :-*

lol ,now I've got to dig up some of those trays! Damn spiffy concrete barriers.I was worried about the brittleness over a peroid of time, I will probably stick with ceramic tiles though, they are just a pain to cut.
