Green Eyed Minis Launches Website
« on: January 31, 2011, 10:17:59 PM »
Green Eyed Minis is launching its website today and we hope you can stop by and take a look.

www.greeneyedminis.com

Our vision is to make huge armies available to everyone and to recapture the glory days of when gaming tables groaned under the weight of the forces amassed on them. No more will you be forced to fight games with a few dozen figures on each side; Green Eyed Minis is all about getting big armies on to your gaming table.

Our first range is the Dwarven Empire which is currently marching to war across our gaming tables at GEM HQ.

The army has all the core elements you need to build a formidable force and new regiments are being worked on as we speak, so reinforcements are due soon. Not only that but our second army will be available in March.

Thanks for looking and good gaming.

Excellent!

Bloomin good prices as previously stated!

I may well have to get some of the dwarf handgunners and artillery crew (good to see them seperate from the cannon too) for some Flintloque Dwarves, that have run from the Confederation of Finklestein to the Otharmann Empyre and now serve the Sultana!  ;)

Dwarf Askaris!  :D

Good luck from an old 15mm customer of yours  :)

Only issue is the on-line shop took over two minutes to open  :'(

Wow - excellent prices and nice take on the dwarfs - best of luck!

Reckon that rocket launcher would look better with some old citadel style Hobgoblins though!  ;)

28mm metal fantasy miniatures being sold at 28mm metal historical prices rather than the 2-300+% mark up a lot of companies seem to add "just cause it's fantasy."

I approve of this very much.
 :)

It's always nice to see dwarves that aren't the typical tunnel fighting variety and though I'm not a huge (or should that be small?) dwarf fan I'm tempted to pick up a couple of the 4 strong packs for skirmish games.

Many thanks for your comments.

I'll be speaking to the server provider regarding the speed of opening up the shop. Thanks for letting me know.

Keep tuned as we're hoping to have the next wave of releases bought forward and also the next army out sooner too.

Cheers

Well, it's not just because it's fantasy, I have found that sculptors who specialise in fantasy are on average more expensive than historical sculptors.

I guess I never really expected there to be much of a difference in costs for that sort of thing so that being one reason for the big differences between the majority of historical and the majority of fantasy/scifi miniatures it is an interesting thing to find out.

Yet you would think fantasy sculptors often having much more freedom while historical ones are, generally, more open to criticism about accuracy, would at least keep them the same or even perhaps keep non-realistic ones cheaper.

Of course I do accept that more ground work has to be done in the creation of the base look of a fantasy race while historicals are pretty much all well covered.

Still the extent of the difference has always made me raise an eyebrow at times.

Anyway this isn't really the place for this so yeah sorry for the slight derail GEM, and I look forward to seeing whats coming.

Excellent venture, It's good to see these dwarves finally cast (especially after all of whiffwaff's teasting posts!). Bravo!

Far too many projects on my desk at the moment, but I hopefully will frequent your store sometime soon.

Cheers
Andy
