Truly inspirational sculpts.  Some of the very best I have ever seen.  They deserve to be a success.

Good Luck.

PS. As it is obviously NOT Green Stuff or Milliput. Can I ask whet you use to sculpt with?

Very, very nice figures indeed!  Also, the Turks get a lot less play in VSF than they should.  Ottomans make great villains and there is an excellent excuse for making them a great power again (all that oil) rather than just the sick man of Europe.

Add to that all the colorful exotica, and I think they should not be overlooked.  I just got done painting some Askaris, and will be working this PM on some Turkish regulars and Arab auxiliary cavalry.

These figures don't go with anything we are playing, but I love them.

Fellows,

The superb quality of these 1881 miniatures are tempting me into the world of Steampunk gaming, but can anyone suggest how they are being used in gaming, and what rules sets are being played?  My exposure to Steampunk genre has largely been from the sidelines, though I have read the Difference Engine and found it very satisfying.

Regards

Jim

Depends on what you want. Rpg?  Skirmish?  Large scale battles with land leviathans?  I am going into Savage Worlds, now, which has rpg and skirmish rules, as well as two nice VSF settings (Rippers and Red Sands) though neither directly involves the Ottoman Empire.

Other rpg systems: Voyages Extraordinaire (free on the web when last I checked), Gaslight (rpg and skirmish, with pretensions to large scale battles, though not so good for that, IMO), Age of Extraordinary Gentlemen and a few other D&D / Pathfinder supplements also exist.

For really large scale rules, others are more competent to speak than I.

Hope that helps.

For larger scale games I would look at GDW's Space 1889 "Soldiers Companion" a very nice set of rules.

Also there rpg game is well worth looking at.
