Well, I'm a fan of cartoonish asymmetry in fantasy buildings! The initial shapes came out well!
I'm eager to see how floral foam cooperates with DAS. Or you will dress foam with green stuff?
But better not to ask so early, I'm sure you are preparing one more eye candy!

The DAS works well with the floral foam. The core of the Entryway is floral foam.
The Tavern will be quite similar; i.e., a tree/dwelling combo only more tree like in this case.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

The Fey Tavern looks a bit more tree-like today:

Now off to Opening Day Madness...OH BABY!

Well, well!! Things are getting more and more interesting!
And the definition of madness is that it usually cannot be predicted!!
Or else it wouldn't be madness  ;)

Thank you for your reply, Dinos. Madness it is then; re, I never sure how these things are going to go either.
That did give me the idea of having the March Hare as the Taverns proprietor...I have the Wyrd Tortoise & Hare.

...but sometimes, other people consider as madness a special case of logic that supersedes their own  ;)

I am a fan of the March Hare since my childhood!
Because he believed that all the time was tea-time  lol

Madness is considered a sacred state of being by some American Indians & motorcycle gangs. It explains why I got a ride from a group of gangers hitch hiking fro California.
I am a coffee enthusiast, but the concept is the same.

The Fey Tavern is coming along; i.e., a more normal tree got added to the base yesterday:

The base now won't contain all of the new Mushrooms & probably wouldn't without the new tree. SO I started YET ANOTHER one.
AND started the painting of the others with the black undercoat:

The larger Mushrooms have their white dry brush done now, but no photos as yet.

Just as a general comment, I'm really liking all these recent little standalone dioramas.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Fram. I am delighted you like the new pieces.
I think I have found my own little creative niche; now to make the most of it.

I did a new take on basing the Mushrooms in a vignette for one of the Reaper Forum Folk:

AND a few shots in the Spooky Woods:

There you go.

Such great use of bright colours. For me it is a challenge to paint something in a bright colour scheme, I naturally gravitate towards muted colours. Even my colourful yellow-red-and-blue Empire figures aren't really bright. But you seem to do it so effortlessly time and again.

Yayyy! Your last creation is pure magic!!!
How splendidly takes its place amidst the Spooky Woods!
Very atmospheric pics, excellent!
It would be great if you could take more and more closeups!
Such beauty cannot satiate the eye! Cheers!

Thanks for the kind reply, White Knight. I am delighted you like the colors. I just gravitate towards a bright palette. Muted shades are a struggle for me at times.
I moved my Night Goblin gang/army into Cap'n John's display cabinet. Whenever I look at it, I wish I could magically teleport them to you.

Thanks for the enthusiastic response. I am delighted you like the new piece.
It was a bit of an experiment. I wanted to see how a variety of Mushrooms would work as a vignette/collage. I think I will be doing more of them. Including miniatures with the Mushrooms will be something I will work on as well...life can be exciting.

Thanks, Fram. I have found my niche in fungus...that's several notches above a niche in politics.
