The basic idea remains the same, but I am making it more my own.

This of course involves greenstuffing faces.

I finished the last of the little mushrooms. SO before I base them up & send them off, I thought one last set of Group Photos might be in order:

The bases are waiting in the wings:

Quite a sight! That tall fellow (?) at the back on the left is particularly appealing.

Great work on the rhino too - can't wait to see that one in its full psychedelic-Durer glory!

Wow, one of your more colourful gangs yet.

"Psychedelic Durer"... oh man, now that you put it like that, I can't unsee it, mannnn.

There is something about seeing them all in a bunch that is very appealing. Thanks for the reply.
I am glad you like the Group & the Rhino, Hobgoblin. I have been enjoying my occasional trips to your thread as well.
I have high hopes for the Rhino.

The Pinterest mushrooms did add to the even brighter than normal colors...it's always nice to have someone else to blame.
Durer's Rhono is inspiring:

Then there is Salvador Dali's:

I hadn't been aware of either until Hobgoblin mention Durer. Now add to them the colors chosen by an enabled Old Mad Man...OH THE POSSIBILITIES!

Oh wow! I had completely forgotten his illustrations of "exotic" animals.

I don't know much about Durer's works. So the mention of him & the search paid off in a new set of inspiring illustrations.
Dali's Rhino is so unlike anything I have seen him do. Both are wonderful. AND James Christensen has other strange animals in his portfolio.
I need another fifty years to do everything I'd like to do...I'll have to have a word with The Man.

Thanks, Brummie Thug...glad you like them. Every so often I take Group Photos of my current Mushrooms. I sometimes wonder what a picture of ALL the ones I have made would look like. Most wind up in other Folks possession/collections.

Your group photos are always wonderful! With so daring colors and inimitable face expressions, one does not know where to look first, so two group photos are NOT enough  ;)
Eager to see how you will do the ornate armor of your Panzer Rhino! Cheers!

Thanks for the kind words, Dinos. Your support is appreciated.
Today I am working on bases for the Mushrooms. Tomorrow I will be in Austin, but the rest of the week will be spent on finishing off the Mushrooms that have new homes awaiting them.

That group shot is amazing, Al, as is the start of you rhino, love it :)

By the way, did you know that Fenris minis made 3 different Dürer rhinos?
I have one spare, yours if you want  ;)

Thanks, Tobias. I will try to take another Group Portrait when all the Mushrooms are based up. I have some other finished that I will include.
Since a number of the gang will be sent off to other Folk, this will be a parting shot.

I have never done a Fenris miniature. SO I checked out the Fenris Duerer Rhinos. It is a very impressive piece.
My only hesitation in taking up your offer is that I am not sure I would ever get to painting it.

Just flipping fantastic.
on another level really.

Thanks, Bloggard! I think you hit the nail on the head. Along with all the stuff I make, I am decidedly occupying another reality...one without Trump.
