I have never done a Fenris miniature. SO I checked out the Fenris Duerer Rhinos. It is a very impressive piece.
My only hesitation in taking up your offer is that I am not sure I would ever get to painting it.

All I know is that it will never been painted as long as it stays with me, so there is a chance that you might paint it ;)

We can't have that. I'll give it a try...painting that is.

There is something about seeing them all in a bunch that is very appealing. Thanks for the reply.
I am glad you like the Group & the Rhino, Hobgoblin. I have been enjoying my occasional trips to your thread as well.
I have high hopes for the Rhino.

The Pinterest mushrooms did add to the even brighter than normal colors...it's always nice to have someone else to blame.
Durer's Rhono is inspiring:

Then there is Salvador Dali's:

I hadn't been aware of either until Hobgoblin mention Durer. Now add to them the colors chosen by an enabled Old Mad Man...OH THE POSSIBILITIES!

Fenris Games has Durer's Rhinos - they're pretty cool!

Thanks for the links, Alxbates! I agree; i.e., they are very cool miniatures, AND true to their inspiration.

Things have been moving slowly, but moving nonetheless. Here is where we are with the basing:

A couple of Dark Hold Goblin Monks have volunteered to add some character to the bases.
It is rumored they are hoping to be on the out of country bases...I promise not to mention The Donald as the reason:

AND a couple of plumber's epoxy putty bases ready for sand & stuff:

Until whenever.

Your Mushroom is coming along. He needs some company on his base. I am glad you like it so far. Thanks for the reply, Dinos!

Thanks, Bloggard! I think you hit the nail on the head. Along with all the stuff I make, I am decidedly occupying another reality...one without Trump.

Somehow mushrooms & moss fit together i my mind. I am glad you like the moss effect...it should look better painted.

Thanks for the reply, Neighbor Bloggard. I am glad you like the moss. It might need a racy number reclining on it for the sterling moss effect.

Re: The Last Hurrah Project: 06/03/18 This week's progress
« Reply #5534 on: June 03, 2018, 02:58:02 PM »
This weeks progress, such as it is, consisted of more of the bases ready for Mushrooms & stuff:

...with some finished or close to it:

...a new Mushroom in the works along with some background mushrooms:

The Rhino got a few new plates:

AND the Goblin Guard was finally mounted at the Faerie Gate:

I had been afraid that Goblin Guard would make the piece too busy, but it is really just like adding another clown to a three ring circus.
