Still the most weirdly beautiful thread on LAF!! I have been in lurk mode a while and missed much of what you have done the last months - it will be cool to get caught up with your projects, Nala! You are incredibly prolific!

Than you for the kind reply, Mister Frau Blucher! I am glad you emjpy the thread...have a pleasant browse.

Our Nala is a busy little bee alright... one with a rather funny expression I imagine.  lol

...busy, busy! I finished up a couple more Mushrooms last night:

The latest Tree base is base coated...this is quite a process with the Trees:

A slightly closer look at the face:

From the back:

AND with the other Tree base:

Until later...whenever that is.

I like both tree faces, but especially the second one, is EPIC!
It is your talent to manage to make an entirely different face every time!
Cheers!

Thanks for the reply, Dinos. I am happy you like the Trees. I think the second one is more personable. Th first one is more woodsy.
To a certain extent the unique personalities are the product of a finely tuned lack of planning.

You need to do a book Al.  Couple of pictures of all these characters and a bio, nice map and a world guide.

Amazing imagination as always!
This! Or if a book sounds too much work, an article in some hobby/crafts magazine... this thread is so evocative!

Thanks for a kind reply, Nordic. My stuff is oriented toward story telling. I usually let my viewers come up with their own stories, but the idea of linking them into a story of my own is enticing.

Hey, Nala, put it all together in a drink shaker and roll some dice! Let the bones fall where they may and and make some stories and maps! After 450 awesome pages, you've got the greatest ingredients!

(Or send a bunch to me and I'll put it in a Special Limited Issue comic series!  lol  )

Your Battle Report Cartoons are WONDERFULLY imaginative creations. If you need some of my Mushrooms for a series, I would be happy to send you some.

I love the trees! I'm going to have to attempt to make some of my own, I don't have any scenery dedicated to my goblins and these would fit in fantastically! I don't think I'll managed to sculpt a face half as convincing as your ones though!

Thanks, Mallo. I am glad you like the Trees. Definitely give the tree making a try. It is an enjoyable project.
With the Faces, you never know what you are capable of until you try. I will bet you will surprise yourself with the results,

I did this tree awhile ago for no particular reason. Having tracked down the Goblin Bandit Chief Comsquare sent me, I thought he might look good with the tree...he still might, but the tree seemed to have a face hidden & waiting to come out. SO it is now a more personable Tree...& possible Goblin Bandit Chief base:

Seen here with the other recently sculpted Trees...he is somewhat taller:

There are other things in the works that may show up here or elsewhere...or not.

Oooh, I quite like that one! His whole "body" is part of his expression in this case.

Thanks, Fram. I am glad you like him. I could see his face before I started sculpting it...that is a first.
