Wow! I love the vibrant colors and characterful faces. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the reply, Gallahad! Without you & the other Forum Folk, my strange creations would go unseen. I appreciate your viewing them & commenting...I am happy you like the colors.

So bright colors once more! In contrast with the grass and the earth, they make your mushrooms look great!
I also like much how you made the rock in one of your bases! Cheers!

Re: The Last Hurrah Project: 01/31/20 Another Face AND a Dragon in the works

SO I had occasion to take a photo for the Reaper forum of a Grenadier/Mirliton Shire Dragon. This got me to thinking about the piece. It is a delightfully silly Dragon, but it had these bands around his neck that I didn't care for. That got me to thinking of the Worm (Dragons are called worms or wyrms) from Labyrinth:

...the scarf in particular is what I was thinking of. It looked more appropriate than the bands/collar; ergo, he now has a scarf:

With the leftover putty I made YET ANOTHER Face:

An abundance of (mostly harmless) ideas, and the capability to act on them, is what keeps us all out of the old folks' home. Even if some of those ideas might be a bit odd.  ;D

I figure I will be able to stay out of Old Folks Home simply because they don't like my kind...whatever kind I am.
It counts as a major success if I get a laugh out of a piece. Thanks, Fram. You made my day!

A multitude of creatures is brewing appear...
I'll momentarily stand at the dragon:
He is so well prepped that somebody could believe that he had the scarf from its mold!

That shire dragon is a very nice mini, the scarf suits him.
Give him a pince nez and a cup of tea and he could be a kindly professor teaching at the collegium arcanum. ;)
I look forward to seeing some color on him.

Cheers,
Stroezie.

Thanks, Dinos. I am happy you like the scarf. I was pleasantly surprised it turned out this well.
Things really are cooking along...at least, with the crafting.

Indeed. But do dragons ever say 'ello?

I could imagine him with a Cockney accent. In fact, that is now how I think of him...I might have to name him Bertie ir some such thing.
Thanks for the reply, Lucky...I like where this is going.

Thanks for the reply, Stroezie! Teacup & pince-nez would look good; maybe a bit beyond me, but good. I was thinking of fingerless gloves & a banjo, which is also beyond me.
I am looking forward to seeing him in color too. Right now I haven't a clue what colors I will use.

Man, I snooze a day or two and then miss all kinds of crazy magic in this thread.

The scarf definitely gives the dragon a little more personality. Can't wait to see the colors on the dragon and how the scarf will contrast.

Ambling Mushroom Dude is cool, too. The layout of the base is dynamic; looking forward to the painting!

Thanks, Mister Frau Blucher. Sleeping is the key. I have trouble sleeping; SO I make/paint all these crazy things.
I am glad you like the stuff. I can't wait until it is ALL done.
