Part III:AND ready for basing & painting:

I still intend to get the Enigma one, but mine will work in a different sort of way in my World...still haven't come up with a proper name for the place.
Apparently the new forum is only allowing a certain number of photos per post.

Moon Face is wonderful, Amigo.
So full of character, you seem to have captured a sense of mischief in the fella.

It's the smile/smirk that gives the look of a mischief maker. Thanks for the kind reply, Paul. I am glad you like him.

He does have trouble written all over him. I have a possible base for him underway. I haven't decided whether he's an urban legend of a rural one.
Thanks for the reply, Fram.

AND the possible base under way: the bones of the tree:

With the DAS bark sculpted

While the bark dries, I will do the groundwork. Then spray & prime.

Moonface! What a character! And you managed an expressive face and posture! Cheers!

The groundwork less some detailing is done; AND it is all primed & ready for some paint:

I think Master Moon Face will look good on this one. There is also plenty of room for a flunky of two.

The possible base is painted & awaiting detailing plus the mini, of course:

The Buzzard is part of said detailing:

Now I am off to Lovely Llano. More later...or not.

Every critter on a tree is a very special touch, and in this particular case, this vulture suits the theme perfectly!  :D

Who makes that lovely bird? Can I train one to eat the liver of a big Austrian Barbarian tied to a spooky tree?  ;D

Here he is all painted up:

...not exactly a Harbinger of Spring.

THANK YOU for the manufacturer, DeafNala! They are also perfect for a Western scenery!

Very nice brushwork on that bird, BTW!

Looking forward to see some other little creatures among the trees... the Devil is in the details after all! ;)

They would be perfect for Western terrain...we have hordes of them here.
I agree: detail is what makes miniature scenes. If you can find something you hadn't noticed before with each visit, then the scene is a success.
Thanks for the reply, dino. I hope you are feeling well.

I'm fine, thanks! Shooting better and better with my left hand; it's the knife fighting part that is a bitch, but I will persevere! ;)
