Yes, they're back now (I do love the new Stump Man)

Despite my confident answer, I had my doubts about their return, PhotoBucket is recovering slowly from a system crash.
That aside, I am glad you like the Stump Man. I got a little work done on his trunk. It will be less bark covered than normal.
Thanks for the reply, Fram!

I made some progress with the latest Stump Man. Most of the green stuffing is done & he has been remounted on his base:

AND other things in the works:

Have a good night!

The frill of shelf fungus on the back should turn out a treat.

I have hopes for it. Thanks for the reply, Fram.

Stump Man II now is base coated & ready for some color. I still have to decide on a miniature to go with him. Enigma's Horug & Sniff is a possible. OR  he might be a solo. Anyway here is how he looks at the moment:

Good night & pleasant dreams!

I like the Stump Man! He has a lot of character!
Me thinks he stands perfectly solo!

Thanks for the reply, Dinos. I am glad you like him.
I thinks he looks pretty good solo also. It is just that open space in front of him that bothers me

I humbly insist  :) that he can stand solo. Some times the empty space is information  ;) or you may add some grass or baby mushrooms.
If you put some figure, it might be shorter than the height of his mouth, or else it would steal of his awesomeness!
Especially if this figure is bulky and beautiful, it would turn your Stump Man to a background actor.

It looks like he will be a solo...nothing seems to work with him other than one of the tiny Monks.
Thanks for the reply, Dinos.

He can always be his won little miniature diorama background, with the space being used to allow another figure to stand near him, whether for simple visual effect or (gasp) some sort of actual nominal gaming purpose.

The Trees & Mushrooms make splendid backgrounds for the miniature AND together they weave enchanting tales.
I doubt I am up to gaming anymore; re, rules put me to sleep. It would, however, be nice to have the Beasties involve in someone's games. I do believe it is the inherent right of all Toy Soldiers to be played with.

The latest version of Stump Man is finished:

I think I will wait on the photo stage photos until I can do a group scene.

Oh, I love the colour palette you went with for the face! Maybe it's because of, rather than in spite of, the fact that they're not tree tones at all.

Thanks, Fram. I am glad you like it.
I worked up the facial colors using the two lighter wood shades & a dark red (Cranberry Wine). The rationale was it gave the impression of a more blood like sap flowing through the Beasty...or something like that.
