Hasslefree versions of my friends 4 of 4
« on: February 24, 2011, 02:48:38 PM »
This odd project came to be as I was browsing Hasslefree and saw multiple models that looked like my classmates/buddies  lol

Needless to say I had to order some and when they were finished I gave them away as gifts - which brought lots of laughs and happy smiles from their part.

Anwyay first out is "GoatBoy",

2nd model this one painted as my classmate and friend Emilie. This is the Hasslefree miniature "Alyx" and comes with multiple arms which is quite cool. Baseball bat and pistol included, but did not use any of those obviously haha!

Very nice painting.
After seeing the goatboy a few days ago I was almost afraid to open this post to look at your new one.

Oh, Anatoli, thank you for the reviews on your blog.
They have been very useful to me.
Thanks

I love the little kodama-esque thing. The way you've painted her face reminds greatly of a friend of mine.

Thanks guys, I will post the last two models tomorrow and on Wednesday, intended to publish pics of them on my blog earlier but some other stuff snuck into my schedule.

@Amalric, thanks for reading!

Last miniature is the Hasslefree "Shimmer", completes my friends from my Criminology class. Really enjoyed painting these models, this whole project was sparked by impulse but it was definitely worth it. And the models were very well appreciated gifts - very much beyond my expectations. I guess the moral of the story is - if you have friends, paint up miniature versions of them as gifts.

Very cool.  The 2nd one's book says "Korean' right?  All nice, and a great idea.  I did 2 Hasslefree Jedi Kids for my sons who are always swinging lightsabers.
This is my boomstick!

Yep the signs in the book say "Korean"   :) Was quite hard to get the text right at such a small area with the signs taking up so much space to look right.

That would be an awesome idea, but I'd really need to look. lol
