Painted the Battalion HQ today - will need to get some more PVA glue before I assemble the platoons. There are also pictures of my "rebased" HMG teams in the same post:

Started painting the first platoon today, light mortar, command and 3 rifle stands. I will break down the 9 remaining stands into 3 sessions as painting infantry gets old very fast even though I got to skip the tedious step of hand painting the basecoat color of Khemri Brown this time around thanks to the GW spray gun I bought yesterday.

Painting of my first platoon is nearing completion, but I also received the last blisters True North/Old Glory today. I will most likely assemble and paint this platoon next. In the future I would be able to field them as both cavalry - and a mounted recon platoon (and to use my recon stands as dismounted cavalry!).

I really liked the Adrian Helmet cavalry sculpts. I also received replacement miniatures for the blister I got a while back as I was missing some horses and the riders were all the same pose.

Some pictures of the blisters and a few pictures to up the motivation of painting them on my blog:

Finished painting the first platoon today so I took some pictures of my Polish army so far. It is still very tank heavy and can as such only be used as a Tank Company at the moment - but as more infantry get painted up I will in the end have a collection that will allow be to field either a Tank Company or a Infantry Battalion.

Check the blog for more pictures and info. The pictures are slightly larger than usual this time around:

First two stands for my Polish cavalry platoon, I actually consider expanding with one more down the road as they look so damn cool. Perfect unit to use with the Polish "Bypassed" rule in FoW: Blitzkrieg.

A couple more pictures of the painted models and a few WIP pictures and descriptions of the flag pole and banner on my blog:

Really impressive project you've got here. Your painting on the infantrymen is fantastic, the detail on the C.O. in particular catches my eye.
I told you so. You damned fools.

Thank you, this is my first 15mm project so I'm still learning while painting them. It does get a bit easier and more comfortable painting these tiny soldiers though - even for someone used to 28mm only  :)

I've put together a tutorial on how I paint the cavalry for my Polish army. It's a step-by-step tutorial with a couple of picture to illustrate the order in which things get painted.

The whole thing is similar to the Infantry Tutorial I put together a few weeks ago, but it might still be of some interest.

Heh, I'm still a little bummed out that the Blitzkrieg didn't include the Soviets....  :?

I completed the cavalry platoon this afternoon, lots of stuff had come in between and delayed my painting but they are finally done. I also included a few pictures of my 28mm Warlord Games Polish cavalry in the same blog entry for comparison.

Dull work that make the hands ache afterwards, but only 1 platoon remains for assembly once the second Polish infantry platoon and the scout platoon are painted up.

I made some changes to the light mortar teams, made a anti tank rifle conversion for the scout platoon and based them with fewer models on each base to match the cavalry if they should serve as dismounted cavalry in some games.

Painted up half the scout platoon as well, hopefully that one will be finished tomorrow - just need new brushes before I go on.

The scout platoon complete, 9 stands in total. Baptism of fire for my Polish will occur this weekend as I plan to play against my buddy and fellow LAF member Widgren's Germans.

I bought a trio of QRF wz.34 armored cars yesterday, though I had to convert the turrets with a couple of spare TKS tankette MG's to replace the turrets at guns.

Also added a couple of historical photos of both wz.34 and its predecessor the wz.29 armored car on my blog and links to where you might read more about these units.

There is also a "scale comparison" picture on the blog with the QRF armored car next to a Battlefron TKS tankette, a Battlefront 7TPjw tank and a Peter Pig Ft-17 tank.

A mini update on my blog, the cars are painted up and ready to go.

It's really a shame you have to choose either Tankettes OR the wz.34 armored cars since they both share the same slot. The only advantage they have over tankettes is that they are counted as "recon platoons" and get that sneaky evade move if they had not fired or moved on the double during the previous turn.

Been following your thread since the beginning and must say you have a very nicely painted force.

Always nice to see someone do something other than the more "popular" armies.
