Excellent work! I really like the blurry one of the woman with the head scarf and holding the cutlass. Reminds me of a barmaid forced into action.

I'm really hoping to see some non-combat types soon (we need a good Man of the Cloth, a merchant, a Man of Letters, etc.).

Hang The Cardinal and his Guard! Who wants clergymen when you can have wenches armed to the teeth with pistols and cutlasses! You can never have too many doxies...

Yes, I think it's high time I made up an all girl pirate crew!  :D

Just being picky, but do the girls need wider skirts ?
If we're looking at 17th century they should have bumrolls under the skirt padding out the hips.

I'm a huge fan of the musket-armed figures. There are very few musket-equipped figures for the period of the Three Musketeers. I think these will have a broad range of use for all manner of conflicts, from the Caribbean to Europe, to North America and India.

The ladies are magnificent as well. My favorite part about these swashbuckling women is that they don't look like they've been pressed into service during a Fredrick's of Hollywood photo shoot.

Great job, Paul!

Funny, as that is exactly my least favourite thing about them.

I really like the one in the hat cocking her pistol. But I'd like it even more if she were wearing a bikini.

These are great greens Paul :)

For me personally Its a pity its not around Sir Francis Drake Time? Now that is a period of exotic European armour and adventure on the high seas and on land :)

I think of some of the old Hollywood movies especially when Rod Taylor played Francis Drake! :)
Best wishes,
Helen

Grimm, the Cardinal and his guard are on this page (from Blue Moon):

http://www.oldgloryminiatures.com/products.asp?cat=580

That is for the US Old Glory website.  There is a distributor for Blue Moon in England, I think.  Those look like they might be good figures, and Brigade Games will have to get great sculpting done to top these from Blue Moon.

I got some nice musketeers and dismounted dragoons from Foundry's English Civil War and Thirty Years War lines.  Unfortunately, most of these come in almost uniform packs of eight figures, which is not what interests the mostly adventure oriented group that frequents these pages.  However, there is a nice pack of "musketeer characters" in this Foundry collection:

Other ECW collections have some interesting packs, including a surgeon, a blacksmith, some villagers, an artillery limber, and a very interesting pack of sergeants, mostly carrying halberds.

Thanks, Warren. I do like Foundry's catalog, but they are a painful and frustrating company to deal with. I don't like that they have beautiful figures painted up in their catalog, but they seem hell-bent on making it impossible to order them. The last few packs I've gotten were inexcusably badly cast as well, and at over $3 per figure now, I'd rather send my money somewhere else.

I believe the Cardinal's Guard are on their way. And Rich is lobbying hard for priests and noncombatant civilians. We'll probably see them soonish.
