Is the band the Grateful Undead?

Two excellent entries

Yes, Ral Partha's Grateful Undead backed up by Team Frogs "Eddie, Skeletal Rocker": http://www.teamfrog.com/fig-vh.htm

What a really nice touch about the Grateful Undead set is is the drumkit: it's another skeleton with all the kit strapped to him, you can see his skull and his two hands: one holding the bass drum and the other slapping the hi-hat. The rest of him is crouched behind the kit and his knee is hitting the bass drum. All in all a very nice touch I think.

Two very different - but really good - entries. The yaks (and their packs) and beautifully done, and the colours are nicely handled. Rich but still natural. The skeletons are full of fun, and while it shouldn't be the only thing that wins me over in a painting competition, it's the creativity of the fun that did it - the beer running through the ribcage, the two dead drunk pals leaning on each other, the band, and so on - lovely use of the old plastic skellies. That tipped the scales for me - but it was a close one!

I love the band! I'm going to have to get it and green-stuff some hair, bandannas, hats etc onto them to make them into Guns 'n' Roses at their most wasted best  lol
