Average of 5-7 models per side for small games.  3-20 is the min/max figure range.

40 minutes to an hour, if you know the rules and aren't playing with too many points.

Can't wait to see these rules, a 40min game sounds good to me. I am, for the first time, going to try and game this summer (there seems to be a local game group) and more than one game a night would be great.

Yeah, having quick, satisfying battles where you can get 2 or 3 in one session is what I'm going for.  As I've gotten older my ability to stand around/stoop over a table has diminished.

And I don't have the kind of free time that I did before.  So I made a game that fit the bill.

Nice and clear preview.

Sounds really interesting and your "period" idea seems to work well to represent the different fighting styles of most of history.

Thanks for the glimpse and please keep us informed of any development.

Best wishes.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

Well, here's an update. I have renamed the game to Brink of Battle: Skirmish Gaming through the Ages.  I am set for a target release date of March 19th 2012.

I will have the game on demo & on sale at ConQuest Sacramento 2012 March 17th & 18th.

My marketing summary will be up here soon.

Once the core game releases, we'll be looking for playtesters for the fantasy supplement to be released later this year.

Mate, if this is half as good as it sounds I'll file for divorce and marry you!

...or I might restrain myself and leave it at calling you a top fellow!

So Phreedh, now that you've played it with Anatoli, is a marriage offer in the works?  I'll need to let my Wife know.... lol
