G'day
« on: March 31, 2011, 03:18:16 AM »
G'day, found this forum a few days ago and I said to my wife. "honey I've just found my new obsession". I've got some 40K stuff, Hell Dorado and Spinespur but this is the sort of wargaming that really sets fire to the imagination. Only problem is I've vowed to paint everything I've got before I'll buy new minis (and that's a fair bit) so it might be a while before I post some painted stuff. Although I am going to enjoy my time wandering around and looking at all the cool stuff.

Welcome to the LAF :)
Keep wandering around, you can't get lost - there's always someone to help you on the right track.
You should stay away from the dark corners, as long as you aren't aquainted with the dark things lurking there. But don't worry, that'll happen soon ;)

As long as you have a backlog of minis to paint, you'll never die. SO you could put you're present stuff on hold as a life insurance & get some new stuff...supplying excuses is my thing. That aside...WELCOME ABOARD! Enjoy your stay.

Allo and Welcome Mate. See if you can't adopt Christian (above) or move in with him, he's a stunning gamer from the place that's not so good at cricket at the moment.  ;D

@Christian, The Hunter Valley, home of V8's and Bogans. I'm a Sydney boy originally moved up here to avoid a massive mortgage down there.

@Phil, the final is on at the moment Sri Lanka vs India. But we'll be back on top again soon.  :D

The captaincy should have gone to Warney. But he was too much of a liability due to his off field antics. I think Ponting was good because of the players he had around him Warne, Mcgrath and Gillespie. He was no Steve Waugh that's for sure and I don't think that the new guy (his name escapes me) will do any good either. I think Australia may have to spend some time in the cricket wilderness like we did in the late seventies early eighties before we can become a power again.

150% well intentioned hogwash but thank you for reminding us all of the same vow we made! lol lol

Surely I wasn't the only one who found it too futile an idea to even vow upon? lol

We have to live in hope that one day we may reach the summit of the lead mountain and see the fertile valleys on the other side.
