Two very nice units both with quite a lot of models compared to the five model minimum. Excellent work on both but the cavalry has the edge for me 8)

Both of these are nice - good crisp painting with nice depth of colour, and nice attention paid to detailing the bases, although my vote goes to the cavalry because it's a lot of work painting horses! Close contest, though.

I could never work out how you are supposed to fire a blowpipe accurately from the back of a camel, but beautifully painted figures!

Bertrand had a black eagle rather than a red one, and it had a red bar running from top left to bottom right.

The imperial red eagle was used by Jean II le Meingre. Marshall of France, nicknamed Boucicaut like his father before him.

There is another variant for his arms taken from a illustration dated c.1400, to which I added bar to represent his brother (see week 2). This had the right side as per the figure above, but the left had gold coins on a blue background. This is why I have elected to put the crossbowmen in yellow and blue livery rather than red and white.

J

Bugger, I didn't know that or I would have painted them in a lurid plastic colour, this will come back and haunt me now lol
