Forged in Battle 15mm review and comparisons 5/4
« on: April 04, 2011, 04:26:27 PM »
I made a review and also took a few comparison shots so that you can see the difference between OldGlory/TrueNorth, Forged in Battle and Battlefront infantry.

Might be a good idea to check it out if you plan to mix miniatures from various sources, or simply want to see the detail level of the Forged in Battle stuff. Pictures of painted FiB mini's will follow shortly.

Figures look really nice and I'll probably get some.
Too bad the vehicles come with an integral base. I understand quite a few people like this, but they just won't fit in with the ones I already have.
If the FIB models are ever made without a base I might consider doing another (US or Soviet) army.
Panic, Chaos and Disorder. My job here is done

Yeah I can completely understand people not wanting to have bases on their vehicles as well. There are pro's and con's with both cases. I ended up basing my small Polish Tankettes, but left the FT-17 and 7TP jw tanks without bases.

It sounds crazy but it was easier to pick up the tankettes, they seem more "solid" now, when I put them on bases. Before I was scared I would drop them.

I will post pictures of the painted FiB miniatures here tomorrow, just made small sand bag covers for the HMG teams out of green stuff. Figured I would start painting the small teams to get to know the models before I start with the large platoons.

Added some sandbags last night, and painted the platoon today.

Also took two more comparison shots of Battlefront and FiB miniatures standing next to each other so you can check out the size of them both.
