Samurai rules?
« on: April 23, 2011, 07:24:02 PM »
Hi,
I picked up some Perry Samurai at Salute... and need a ruleset!

I'm after something that handles small groups (maybe up to 20 a side) and maybe even some supernatural stuff too?

Any ideas?

Try "Bushi no Yume",I like it :D

Small Skirmish warbands and you can include Magic/ Mythical Creatures.

I recommend Kashindan. Very well written and easy to understand. The pdf is a real bargain, especially as it's at a reduced price of 8.00 USD at the moment.

The FUBAR Seven Samurai rules are a one page supplement to the one page FUBAR Medieval set. Best of all, they are completely free and open source, so you can modify them to your heart's delight.

They are also supported by a rule-writers community over on the Forge of War Yahoo Group.

I wrote Bushi no Yume to specifically handle the chanbara type movies and series and added some mystic stuff to be able to play a games in mythical Japan and manga based games (Inu Yasha etc).
