The best part of the day!  Extremely well researched then, should make them at least as good as their earlier sets ::)

When is the 'best part of a day'?

The first coffee/tea of the morning with the sunshine streaming through the window figures highly for me as does sundowners on the veranda with the Memsahib.

Maybe they mean a couple of hours over t'internet followed by an order to Osprey for the latest Turnbull (not that you can go far wrong with a Turnbull as those in the kkknow have told me  ;))

well, on their side i have to point that it is the first time they talk about their "sculptors"....

if i am not wrong they used to make 3d models for their pieces... now i think they are 3-upping everything!

that's a progress, indeed!

Certainly won't be holding my breath...

And the best part of the day for me is the end of work  :)

To be honest, I don't think plastics will lend themselves to samurai armour just due to the nature of it. Dark ages and 'smooth' clothing types are fine but some of the detail I bet will be lost  ::)

Sadly that doesn't mean anything... What they've been doing till now is also considered and called "sculpting"... 3D sculpting that is. I've given up trying to understand WF ages ago... New management or old makes no difference in the result.

Do you mean these here? Sadly, while they look great, these are too detailed to be cast in a 28mm scale. When they came out in January I was still in Nottingham and during an evening at a pub with some miniature producers I was told that there is no way these can serve as 3ups. These were done by a sculptor, working for WF, who apparently will now learn how to sculpt digitally. They are not giving up on digital sculpting that easy...

WF has yet to produce a single worthwhile, useable figure IMHO and I don't expect that these will be any different.  >:(

well, i would never buy any product from WF at the moment, but i don't see the point of being so negative and pessimistic.

probably they will be a delusion, but... maybe not!

Maybe plastic ashigaru with options for teppo, yari, yumi or katana would be better?

They weren't  ;)  He's good for a start but can be contradictory sometimes between books, to be honest I pretty much only use the Japanese books I've got now (with a little bit of reluctant help from Machi  :D ).
