Looking for comparison pictures
« on: May 12, 2011, 03:56:28 AM »
Hey kids,

I am curious how the old RAFM figures stack up against the new stuff, in particular Uncle Mikes, but other ranges as well.

Also how do the small car and truck look along side something from say Sloppy Jalopy?

The RAFM stuff looks good price wise compared to SJ, and I'm NOT a fan of the fit and finish of their kits  >:(

Hi.

The car is from Sloppy Jaloppys Range, the Miniature is from Artizan. The gas Lamp is from Wyrd Miniatures (Malifaux)

the left and right models are RAFM Professors, the other two in the middle are from Artizan's Thrilling Tales range.

By the Way: You could use Matchbox Yesteryear Models, they fit perfectly as well as the Sloppy Jaloppy Resin Kits, but are much cheaper (search for 'Yesteryear' at ebay ;) )
Sadly I have not taken pictures of my Yesteryear Cars and Uncle'Mike Minis yet, but I can tell you, that the Serpent Men are about 4cm tall and the Yesteryear Cars which I got are the same size as the Sloppy Jaloppy Cars.
But I do not know how well human models from Uncle Mike's fit to RAFM Models because yet I only have the Serpentmen.

Hope I could help you a bit :)

Edit:
Some little more information:
RAFM Models are a bit smaler than Artizan Models and are likley the same size as Pulp Miniatures (from Bob Murch) but a bit thinner. But they do fit very well with both Ranges, though they are a little smaler and thinner.
They do not fit well with the Gangster Range of Mark Copplestone, this would look like a bunch of Davids&Goliaths ;)

PS: Excuse my bad english  ::)

Some of the older Uncle Mike's scults are a little bigger than the standard scale stuff (Artizan, Pulp Figures, Coplestone, RAFM, etc.) but the newer scults are much closer in scale.
