55 Days at Peking. One of my favourites, now you have inspired me to get out my Boxer rebellion collection again :)  I've always had a soft spot for David Niven :)

David Niven is god. We should have cloned him and made an army of invinsibly charming Englishmen. Or we should have swapped him for Prince Charles.

Great Movie! My favourite moment is where Chuck picks up the Chinese Girl at the end of the movie

From all his macho it was lovely to see a loving side to his character :)
Best wishes,
Helen

I just picked up the Mummy trilogy (Scorpion King counting as the 3rd) for $10.00. and Stargate for $5.00.

I also picked up Starsky and Hutch, Zoolander, Men in Tights and Super Troopers for $5.00 each. Not really gaming related, but if we end up 'forgetting' our miniatures we have these to laugh at. Good stuff :D

Oh yeah, Plunkett & Mclane is great. Good music, good adventure, hot chick.

This movie gets panned a lot by Flashman fans, but I think that any treatment is better than none. Malcom McDowel is the perfect Flashman and the story is fairly accurate to the book of the same name, with a humourous overview of the first book thrown in. Its only been out on DVD for 7-8 months. If you love the Victorian age, its well worth a shot.

Yes, I have always heard this one is unadulterated rubbish, but I've always been curious about it. Besides, it is can be an education to see what people ofno taste are watching these days... ;-)

The Firefly series DVD set is full of great scenario ideas [as well as being a tremendous series], as is Serenity. I missed the series when it was on TV, but the DVD set is now so cheap you can't afford not to have it. Needless to say I bought it when it wasn't such a low price :(

Ah, cowboys in space! Can it get any better..... well, if you've seen Muse's video for "Knights of Cydonia", you have to say  YES!

If you haven't, it's here:

Cowboy martial arts in space!

Picked up the whole trilogy in Germany a short time ago and just re-re-re-(re)-viewed the movie. Quintessential pulp to me:

The Shangai cabaret, the temple in the jungle, Indy, the sidekick - all too easy to use as a script for a Pulp campaign :)
