I think, but I might be wrong, that the Prof. is promoting a more classical Halloween theme. Pumpkins, b-movie horror films, cartoony ghosts and witches. Am I wrong?

I am sure you are wrong !!!

The Prof says
Quote
......, Frankenstein´s Monster, Vampires, Horror Clowns, Serial Killers etc........

I think that the ``Famely`` are loking like Jason or Michal Meyers and the are Serial Killers !!!

Anyway both entys are super !
I go for Agis because I like the Guy in the middel and these time he realy show the detail f the Figures .
Good work Agis

Sorry I was being sarcastic.  Basically "I didn't think it was halloween yet" a common insult for people dressed funny/scarey/odd.

Although I will say , traditional or not, slasher flick horror costumes have been pretty common for the last few decades at halloween.  They are as traditional as witches and ghost really.

Funny, but I've noticed that at least 50% of the reason why I would vote for one instead of the other is based on how the minis are based - maybe I'm getting a bit fixated on one thing, as I tend to base my judging on painting scores in tournaments the same way.

This in no way applies to Agis' stuff, as it is always beautiful and I'm hoping that I could one day paint as well as he does, but is it just me or doesn't even a badly painted army that is based well usually look better than a decently painted one with a "variety of basing styles"? (my recent "favourite" was in a GW tournament where a player complained when I gave a 0 out of 3 (painting total was 20 I think) for basing for an army where a third were based in sand, a third in green, and a third in red...)

These are indeed very interesting entries :o

Nice work though on both :)
Best wishes,

I can understand your point completely! An army that is not based in the same way or at least similar is a horrible sight IMO. I have rebased many minis over the years just because the force did not look coherent enough for my tastes.

Tom and I even go as far as matching opposing armies! Right now he has a very nice German WW2 force on coins, while my winter US guys are on slotta bases - it is indeed disturbing from an aesthetic point of view!

Your commnet is also a nice coincidence, since I retouched the bases (adding some drybrush and the wintergrass for an extra cold feel) before taking the photo!
