Why I do the LPL....
« on: May 23, 2011, 07:28:34 PM »
I enjoyed the good Captain’s analysis of what makes a winning entry and so I thought I’d comment on what motivates me to participate in the LPL.  Basically, and with regard to my pet projects:

(1)   to paint more
(2)   to paint better

In LPL4 I managed to enter F&IW teams for 9 rounds and in LPL5 for 8.

The following comparisons show (I’d like to think) quite a bit of improvement between 2010 and 2011, which for me is a lot of what the LPL is about.

2011 then 2010: 44th Regiment using Crusader minis

2011 then 2010: Compagnies Franches de la Marine using Conquest minis

2011 then 2010: 60th Regiment using Eureka minis

My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2024 = 32
(2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Very nice comparisons! I prefer the newer paintjobs as well and I also think your photography has improved 8)
