A beautiful fig that I plan on adding to my lead pile.

I LOVE Werner Klocke's work and she looks like a lot of fun to paint.

That's a Reaper?  It's certainly a Klocke.  What number is it?

Coo. Love that girl - she'd go very well with my yet-to-be-painted Copplestone cave people. Don't really want the pussy cat though... Presumably it's one model? I guess I can offload the beast...

A pity she's posed patting that kitty on the head. Makes her considerably less useful as a wargames model. I ain't got no use for the sabre-toothed cat neither, so I reckon I'll pass. Shame, as I quite like the figure of the girl itself.

I know few heterosexual men who would say no to a girl in a skimpy and tattered leopard skin bikini.

Well, unless she is coming at you with a flint spear yelling like a primate but then it is more like "No! Please no! Don't kill me!"

It looks like she is on a separate base from the cat, so her hand is less  a problem (signaling?) than the fact she's staring at her own breast.  Maybe I can model a boot print on her base so she is at least looking at tracks or something.

As an aside, why doesn't Reaper clean the mold lines before posting the pictures? Given casting problems with four of the last five reaper figs I've gotten, it seems they don't really care much anymore.

Has anyone ever gotten a reason or read why Klocke always has his women looking down like that?

I've seen that comment mentioned so many times in regards to his work that now I'm curious.

Maybe he just can't sculpt throats... Hard to believe though.

It is incredible that a manufacturer would showcase a new model complete with such prominent mould lines...

Then again, I find it incredible the number of ads you see in Wargames Illustrated (and elsewhere) where figures have bent spears, wonky bayonets, or are just poorly painted.
You really would think that people trying to sell stuff would take the time to get the basics right, wouldn't you?
But evidently not.

Quite peculiar...  :?

Exactly. WI should have their picture editors take a look at Lead Painters League, for example, to see what the standard is these days.
