Lovely work as always. Such fantastic bright colours!  :-*

I like the headswaps too, they change the character of the figures quite substantially. Do they not come with lances/spears then, or was there another reason you used the Warlord ECW ones? I was considering getting a few packs myself recently, so would be interested to know.

They are outstanding. Some of your best painting so far.

Thanks gents  :)

Rob, they come with the heavy 'tourney-style' lances, like the red and white stripey one. As he's more or less a fully armoured knight, I figured that was okay. But as most of these figures are kind of medium / lighter cavalry, the big heavy knightly lances just didn't look right to me. They are probably historically accurate, but they don't look the part  ;)

Ah! The Victorian (Oscarian) approach to history.

Well it's not history is it? Just wargaming. Theatre in miniature. As ever, I'm much happier to get the aesthetic appeal right, rather than pinpoint historical accuracy  ;)

Damn straight. I am of the same mind myself. :)

It is a comment straight out of the mouths of both my mother and my wife who, out of professional obsession, keep pointing these things out when they see it.

Oh so true. Keep up the great painting. Hope to see more of these figures. Now if I can only get my hands on them >:D
