Lord of Vierzon and his retinue (13th Century)
« on: June 15, 2011, 08:08:28 PM »
I painted the lord Hervé de Vierzon, the knight of Mehun and his retinue. The minis are from Curteys Miniatures.

The themed colour scheme for the baron's household really ties this army together. Nicely done. Do you have any more of this army?

Beautiful work.  The green and red contrast "feels" Spanish.
This is my boomstick!

Lovely  :) I'm just prepping and assembling some Curtey's spearmen and crossbow-ers myself.

Did you have any difficulty glueing the spears and shields onto the figures? Maybe my superglue has gone bad, but they just won't stick! Any ideas?

First I would like to apologize for this very late answer. I must confess that I have some problems with the spears. I filed the open hand and the arm with a circular file in order to create a small line. It helps the spear to stay glued. I had no problem with the shields though (as long as the mini does not fall down to the ground ).

That's what I've done as well.
