Starcraft 2 marines
« on: June 15, 2011, 10:52:34 PM »
Hi to everyone!

Very interesting forum!
I am sculptor-miniaturist. My favourite scale - 28 mm. I love SciFi and Fantasy in cinema, games and minis. I am not fan of wh40k, but the last time I fall over in Starcraft.
I want to show my last works. It's terran marines. 28 mm, material of master - thermoplastic. Cast made from high quality resin. My friend have painted couple of resin kit.

№ 1:

№ 2:

Colorless and without visor:

Notes: For № 2 transparent visor in two versions: a colorless and orange. Of course visor slightly distorts the face, but generally Ok. Plus, I think that sticking a visor will not be easy, so need experience in modeling;) In the extreme case it can generally be left without a visor, or for example paint over it with the inside (if the face does not need to see). Some variants are possible ;)

does the fluff involve the marines having their hips broken?

40k has the same problem, people could never wear that stuff...

Nice to see miniatures for this game.A good start to a little range.

 Are these for sale?

I managed to pick up one of the earlier miniatures which were released for Starcraft.

I like the overall personality of the figures, but I noticed the out-of-whack pelvis, too.

In my country (Russia), 450 rub ~12 EUR or 16 $

and it's cost for 2 marines.

And yes, you right. The web site works only on russian language. But you can make order and admin of site will cantact with you by eanglish and then you can agree about cost and shipping.

 Sorry for complexity. :'(

If I If I had a partner with the shop in the west :-*

They're really nice, though the gun's a bit big even for Starcraft. :) I'd suggest making enough poses to have a squad of five individuals and selling a set of that.

Jibbery style oinkery which don't make no damn sense.

On the outside, it may appear that way yes. In the same way you cannot travel through time in a police-box, but it is no mere police box, it is a TARDIS.
Space Marines are SUPER-HUMAN, genetically altered to be able to wear the armour.

These are cool, characterful, cartoony sculpts. Well done!

right. I forget to talk about this, but yes, you right! I wanna make my own style, maybe not very anatomical correct:

big foot, but small hips
big gun and arms, but thin biceps

Thank you all for you comments.
