Help Needed - Warlord British 6lb
« on: June 28, 2011, 05:59:56 PM »
I know somebody round here can help me!

I've just started to make up one of Warlord/Bolt Action British Six Pounders

http://store.warlordgames.co.uk/british-army-six-pounder-at-gun-1192-p.asp

Can somebody please let me know what the 'Y' shaped piece is for and where it goes?

Thanks in advance!

Have you asked Warlord Games or posted the issue on their forum?

Cheers,

Helen

AFAIK the 'Y' shaped piece is most likely the gunners shoulder rest and belongs on the left hand side of the breech.

You can see it in the pictures here (click on the smaller picture).

Keith's right, although it wasn't so much a shoulder rest per se but part of the traversing mechanism. Leaning into the rest part allowed the gun to be trained.

Yeah - I was trying to find the words far too late last night ... but that's the part I think he means.
