Troll Gobbo's , finished
« on: June 29, 2011, 01:38:49 PM »
Hi Everyone,

After Noticing Andrews Excellent little Gobbo's last night I got inspired to start on A Troll  :)

he still very much a W.I.P and is About 50mm

As I'm still  learning to sculpt and waiting for for my Art Anatomy Books to arrive  :(, it may look a little rough.

What you think so far?

Cheers
George

I think it looks good so far!

The whole upper body looks great when viewed slightly from the side (pic 2 and 4). In pics 1 and 3 it looks like he has massive boobs. You should bulk out the muscles on the back of his torso - so that his troll boobs doesn't protrude so much to the sides. Or cut away a bit of the boobs width, but I really think the bulking out way would be a better route to go.

The head is way too small for the body, especially compared to the hands and feet. If you removed that helmet, he would have a wee tiny little head inside.

Try to make the creases on the pants above waistline to look less like frills. =)

His left arm looks longer than his right one .

I've covered the Moobs with a Armoured breast plate  :). The Arm and hands aren't finished yet.

It was intentional to have a tiny head and the thrills just to give it a bit of comedy  :?.

I might change it from a Troll to an Overgrown Goblin who has ate to many growth Mushrooms  :D

Here is him standing next to his twin brother who is about 17mm tall!

Let me know what you think?

I think they're both VERY COOL & IMAGINATIVE. Considering your address, it's not surprising they remind me of the Henson/Burton creations from Labyrinth. By all means keep up your FINE WORK!
