Nice work.
The interior walls texture looks particularly good.

Do you still use the witchfinder general rules? I have to take a second view on them. They terrain is great and I sorted out some figures for the rules

Never took to them. They are just a fantasy ruleset, no flavour. As I’ve said elsewhere in this thread, vampires are not part of the 17th century’s tradition. Witchfinder General was just a Warhammer clone really and put the Vampire Counts as the big bad. It needed to be about the devil, about pagan beliefs. Witches and cultists yes, revenants and ghouls arguably yes, demons or Nick himself definitely yes, but not creatures from our fantasy traditions. Gadzooks It’s The Apocalypse! had my interest until they had spider demons as a faction, I asked if they were from a reference or source (even a vague reference that could be extrapolated out for game terms), but they didn’t know.

I’m slowly still thinking of ideas for my own set, but may still as easily adapt an existing set - I really like the Burning Sands rules for Conan for core gameplay.

So, I picked up a church... good price for a very basic kit, need to find some nice textured sheets for stonework...

Church looks like a good starting point, like a cut-down version of the Warbases church.

Which reminds me, I should attempt to finish the interior of my Warbases church at some point, the outside has been done for two years or so, but who's counting? (link to most recent relevant blog post...)

Nice, don’t see many red brick churches. I’m torn between stone or flint.

My inspiration is a church in Shropshire that I think is actually reddish stone of some sort, not brick, judging by the size of the blocks and the rest of the construction. I do intend to go back and do some of the outside stonework in the grey/tan/yellowish shades seen in the Wikipedia photo.

Throughout the UK there are a good selection of churches and cathedrals made from red sandstone. I live near Chester and the cathedral is made of sandstone (as are the city walls)

Pimping progress, forgive the link, easier to upload phone photos to the blog than the image host. Finished pics will be more resplendent. Hopefully.
