Fantastic update, especially those nicely minimalist ghosties. I think that GW special was UK-only, but I might have to finally break down and buy actual GW figures for the first time in ~25 years of gaming because I really like the ghost/banshee stuff they've got in plastic right now.

The ghosts? The wicker man?

I'm gonna have to go back and read all 40 pages of this, aren't it?

It looks pretty cool!

Ah, love it when a thread comes together.

Brilliant church - that wallpaper works a treat, I contemplated sticking individual flints into plaster, but luckily realised I'd be dead before I finished.

Doing something similar (but cack-handedly) so great to see figures I didn't know existed or that I needed, the Mummers are spot on.

Nice additions :)

Those ghosts are ace, so simple but beautiful and haunting.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

I’m thinking En Garde at the moment - small warband, bit swashbuckle and some fantastical rules as a jumping off point in the back.

Those are the recent-ish Osprey rules, correct? Might need to pick those up, I do like the other Osprey-published rules I've got.

For small skirmish (4-10 bodies per side) we keep looping back to Pulp Alley, though. The core rules are solid, the character building allows you to do all sorts of weird with minimal flavour text changes, and we've been using them for years so we have a reasonably firm grasp of the basics.

Yep - Osprey.

They have a nice war and structure, different ranks for the members so you can have your thugs and your dashing heroes. Loads of sample troop types and a small section for magicians and monsters.
