...we're tiny, we do it for free and we give credit to their copyright.

Good, good - I just thought it would be a shame if you got hit with the same sledgehammer that got the various BloodBowl fansites just under a year back. Also good to hear you have a Plan B  ;)

I am about to start work on a Steampunk variant called 'In Her Majesty's Name!' as well.

Now that sounds awesome.  :D

I printed the rules (at work  :D lol) and read them last night. They seem pretty straight forward.
I haven't play tested them yet but hopefully will get a game in soon.
Good work on those rules!
Yearly painting challenges only show me how useless I am at painting...

Necron's ahoy!!

In the next couple of days we should be able to upload the Necron Retinue to the Blog.  As we have a few typo's to correct (thanks to our eagle-eyed downloaders) I'll probably release these as well in a 1.1 Edition.

We're still hoping someone will pick up the challenge of writing retinue listings for vanilla and chocolate Space Elves.

Cheers,
Craig.

... as proof here is a draft list ...

lol I'm happy with that level of proof  lol

Seriously, I think that's a very good starting list for both heroes and villains. Might I suggest that you consider  including:

- Venusians
- Dr Moreau
- Dinosaurs (oh, go on  ;))
- High-tech fighters of the strange and dangerous - a Victorian version of Torchwood, if you will
- Maybe even Dracula?

I know that some of those drift away from pure-VSF into horror or even Pulp, but steampunk is a very broad church, and it would be nice to have the options!

Dracula?  Well one of his girls is in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen  :D
We will need dinosaurs to oppose Prof. Challenger and his Explorer's Club.
As for Lord Blackwood, I would make him a lieutenant of Prof. Moriarty.

And I haven't even started yet, as we can also include dirigibles, landships, Sea Devils, Frankenstein and his monsterS, etc.

Once I have the core rules and weapons sorted out then I shall begin on the retinues, enlisting the help of the crew at Forge of War, and you good people here.

Dirigibles are absolutely essential, old chap  :D

btw - I just received a copy of Steam in the Air - the application of steam power in aviation during the 19th & 20th centuries by Maurice Kelly which looks chock full of info and, more importantly, PICTURES of some of the weird and wonderful early powered flying machines. If I find anything particularly special I'll pass it along.
