Howdy all,

This is my first post. I recently stumbled across the page a couple of weeks ago.  It looks very nice!

I also recently stumbled across Chaos In Carpathia and Gothic Horror games. A club member ran a scenario (vampires vs. Monster Hunters) and the rules were so much fun I ran out and purchased a ridiculous amount of lead and resin buildings. . .   Up to this point my whole wargaming career has been Games workshop and then  WWII.

I will share our club's AAR with you and I look forward to reading more cool stuff on this site.

Cheers,

Matt

Is that Dave MacRae of "The Baggage Train" fame who GM'd? If so, he's a great guy. The game looked fantastic!

Ah, yes.... quite pricy that thing....

Stunning work on your castle there, though. Did you use some pre-fab parts or build all from scratch?

Oh, you old show-off!

Seriously, that's a wonderful castle

Do I recognize a converted castle made by a certain gaming giant?

I'm glad you posted the URL!

Yes, I can't help but show off, I just love the adulation
Yes the core model was a certain GW Mighty Fortress
However it was messed about with alot, with various conversions and added bits and pieces :)

Matt

Matt, I just wanted to say how sorry I was to hear about David. I actually saw him setting up his booth on Thursday night, but decided I'd let him get on with  it and say hi Friday morning.

Cool castle MAXIMUS!

I have 1.5 mighty fortresses in a box at home that I was wondering if I should sell or not...NOT!

Did you use more than 1 keep to build your model?

Yours looks so different I was wondering if the BASE fortress was a different version than I have.

My parapet stones dont angle in, and dont have the arched supports under them...or did you model all that?
I suppose you will be wanting your ear back now that you have answered my questions -The Wraith

Welcome to the site!

My wife works in an antique bookstore, and hardly a week goes by when some serious looking goth kid comes in and asks for the Necronomicon. Its become quite a joke at the store.
