Wow, with a good paintjob the Megaminis stuff looks very good.  Do you have any other Megaminis figures on the workbench?

I have this myself, and it's a great mini. Same goes for this one. At $1.89 they're bargains.

Great job, Deep One!

As far as I know, most of the fantasy stuff is the old Metal Magic line, and most of that (if not all) sculpted by Bob Olley, and actually quite nice minis.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

All my miniatures are from Megaminis. I will post more things this weekend.

Argonor is right but in megaminis you can find Julie Guthrie's Grenadier models too. Both are awesome and full of character miniatures.

Sorry Niels, that's not right. =) Most of the old Metal Magic line is actually sculpted by Josef Ochmann. Michael Immig, our very own Admiral Benbow, did some chaos fighters, villagers and various other bits. I'm not sure the Olley dwarfs are actually part of the old Metal Magic line.

Details can be found here:

Bloody great catalogues, much froth! =)

OK, it's Ochmann, then. There was a lot of dwarfs in the Metal Magic line, though, very similar to Olley's.

But I do remember Ochmann as being credited for the line, now you mentioned it. It was German, after all, so it makes more sense.

Yeah, the problem (if it is such a problem) is that Mega doesn't stock the whole Metal Magic back catalogue. They have a few (2 I think) of the old MM dwarfs by Ochmann, the rest in the "Other NPC" category are indeed Olley dwarfs, including the warmachines. Don't know if the molds were recently sold off (John is slowly selling off his molds) or if he never owned them. I know some of the old Metal Magic molds are with Dave at Splintered Lights since several years, so Mega doesn't own all of them.

Either way - there's no arguing who sculpted this fella, for instance. Quite Olley. =)

Sorry about the threadjack Deep One - but these very important things need to be settled! ;D

Don't worry mate! I love this "behind the molds" story.   ;)
