Splintered Light 15mm. Given this level of detail, I see no reason to ever buy another 28mm mini... o_o

The 15mm bug has gotten me. Now I can FINALLY do the Battle of Camlann, and be happy with the results sometime in my lifetime!

That is an excellent miniature!  I've recently bought some Eureka 18mm orcs and elves and don't think I'll go back to 28mm for mass battles.  Skirmishing probably, but smaller figures is my future.

Nice paint work! A friend of mine gave me a few spare minis from this range and they are seriously impressive.

that's really nice!

except for the chainmail, the minis is really similar to a 28, for the level of detail! :)

Because you'll go blind painting this level of detail in 15mm?  ::)  ;)

Very good, I must say, for that scale.

Excellent mini! :) nice to see others paint up 15mm figures also and putting them here to be seen!

And for Captain Blood:

NO you don't get blind if you use this like I do

Magnifiers are for sissies.

 ;)

Seriously, I don't see the need for one, at least so far. My 40 yr old eyes are doing just fine.

Just wait till you get to be 49.  :(That's a whole new ball game. I've tried to use the magnifier lamps. You have to be very steady or else you could get a headache with the image moving in and out of focus all the time.

I know they won't win any awards, but I'm damned excited abt both the period, and minis gaming in general again! Thank you, Splintered Light!

15mm? Wow, these are great! The only thing I'd try to change is either your primer or varnish... One of them is drying "grainy" on you and that's a pity considering your painting.

Very nice additions to the King's ranks. I like those minis a lot. The PJ and the figures themselves are nice (poses etc). I will need to start painting more also. Everytime I see someone else's painted 15mm I feel the urge to prime some more and start painting. Unfortunately it's raining all the time and can't spray outside :/

I noticed the same thing. Seems like it could be the primer?

Monstrous humidity when I primered, but my spray varnish leveled it all out. These pics are pre-varnish, in case they glazed over! lol

Nice work!

I have quite a few Splintered Light Miniatures waiting for the painting list myself - Arthurians, Gnomes, Robin Hood's and the Sheriff's men, Saxons...

I've only managed one Arthurian myself at this stage. Oddly enough it's the same chap in the first shot lol

Cheers,

Barry
