Definitely. My view of Brooke is positive, from not only what I know of him historically, but from his description in Flashman's Lady. Its interesting and a bit startling to think of him as a villain.

Btw, does anyone make a Brooke miniature? And if not, why not? :)

Not specifically Brooke. I was pleased to find a version which looks like the older Brooke from the TV series (the actor is the one who played the SPECTRE boss in James Bond: Thunderball) - but not the younger Brooke from the portrait.

Thanks GM and Hammer;
a supplement on Brooke himself! Now THAT is something to look into. Nice find, GM. Thanks for the tip-off.
Eureka - will take a peek. Sounds good stuff. Thanks Hammer.
Lots to do!
Trouble is, this project won't get into top gear before January - I'm writing my PhD and hoping to get it done by then, hence the ultra-low state of modelling productivity.
cheers,
john

Scheltrum also make a range of Dyaks, boats, dyak houses and British Naval landing parties

love is warm and tender / and man knows how love is
a thunder descends from the sky  / all around a great sound,
The seed is steming from the plant / the big tree is now singing
blood is flowing in the veins / during the night an hot wind is raising
Sandokan Sandokan / yellow sun gives me strength
Sandokan Sandokan / give me strength every day
Every night you will give me ... courage

This looks good - thanks pierrebi. Those are the lyrics of the title song of the series, right?
Coincidentially, I have just returned to this lot of models :)

Heheh... We have all kinds of English-writers in here, so don't feel you have to live up to anything. As long as the meaning is clear, no-one will lift an eyebrow - otherwise, they might ask what in Poughkepsie's name you're talking about  :)

It is a new comic ... maybe someone will translate in english or in french, but the subject "Salgari's Sandokan" is not very international, so maybe you should use google to translate it by yourself!
