quote - "A lot of you have emailed questions about the forthcoming Amazonian Indians and rather than answer individually I thought I`d mail you all.

There are are going to be 7 packs as part of the High Adventure range:

C39 Botocudo Indian Archers £6
C40 Botocudo Indian Warriors £6
C41 Amazon Indian Archers £6
C42 Amazon Indian Warriors £6
C43 Tupi Indian Archers £6
C44 Tupi Indian Warriors £6
C45 Amazon Indian Chiefs £6
C46 Amazon Indian Women and Children£6

The Botocudo (aka Aimore) were a tribe who wore huge plugs in their ears and lower lips, a straw penis sheath and cut their hair in a skull cap/Henry V style. In the 16th/17th centuries at least they were cannibals. The Tupi were the main enemies of the Portuguese in the 16th century - they wore nothing but occasional feather fans stuck to their buttocks with a ball of gum and had their hair cut in a monkish tonsure. The ones I`m calling Amazon Indians are more generic and more modestly dressed in a posing pouch and with long hair - a bit of a mullet, in fact.

The main weapon of all the Amazon tribes was the bow, but as a secondary weapon they had wooden war clubs of various types - that`s how the warrior packs will be equipped.

They be usable for any period from the 15th century to the modern day.

The first packs will be released next week and the others as soon after that as possible.

If you want to read more about them look at John Hemming`s "Red Gold" and "Amazon Frontier" or Ian Heath`s "Armies of the Aztecs, the Incas, other native
peoples of the Americas and Spanish America 1450-1608".

Yep, there's more expense on the way. Now Where can you buy a lead giant Anaconda?  :)
