Question: Buildings, where to get ornaments
« on: November 11, 2007, 04:42:45 AM »
Just one of the "simple" ideas my wife had...
"go and build Venice as a wargames table"
A good idea!  But.....!!!!!!
i thought I build single houses, walkways and bridges that can be arranged in different ways, so I can have a different layout for each game.
That's the theory!
I then would "just" set it up on my "water table".

And it could grow slowly by adding more parts time after time.

So the question is: does anybody have an idea where to get window frames, door frames, and maybe pillars etc that can be cast/reproduced quickly to make lots of houses? I had a look at some venice pictures and the houses seem quite simple box shapes but the ornaments are the tricky part.

One could use stuff from the Lemax range

But how to produce houses quickly???

TM Terrain:

They sell pretty much all you need and I think they also stock the Grandt line stuff too :)
