They have put up pictures of their Ceremonial range now. In the original link you  click on Ceremonial. I don't know it it is the painting style or the figures them selves that have the toy soldier look.

Chaps new here looking around, I ordered some from HLBSc they do a good range of cavalry, my only disapointment is that there are no Highlanders either in Kilts or trews.

The Household Cavalry are 2nd Life Guards as the Officer has a rounded Shabraque. And home service or not when my Brits raid the continent they will all be looking their very best and the shops will have run out of Brasso!

Have any of you chaps seen the Traddition figures? They do 30mm Franco/Prussian war stuff and 25mm RHA in furry hat dress? On the website they look ok, just wondering about the height aspect?

They are about right for todays larger Heroic 28mm. They will fit in fine with Redoubt, but will be noticeably taller than the old Foundry FPW range.
They do a mounted Kaiser too I think :)

Aside from the above I have just ordered the Barouche carriage from Scarlet and Gold to see what it is like. I am a bit concerned that the figures willbe quite poor sculpts.

Cheers,

I may order some, to test the size, and the RHA as they are given as 25mm. Some of the 30mm Prussian commanders look rather splendid!

Nick- I don't know if you spotted these but check out the Tradition Scandinavia section under 30mm wargames figures as it includes Imperial German Army figures including the Kaiser and staff officers.

Also look at the Indian Army page as well as it includes Home service British and a band :D

Also check out Tradition's 30mm "Indian Army c.1897" section - this section includes British troops marching in 1890 Home Service uniform.

I have put a little order in from various sections of the wargames catalogue, hopefully I will have them by the 5th. The RHA chaps look somewhat slight, but with a little paint they may be ok, now to think of a suitable piece or ordenance for them to crew, and 18pdr is so yesterday!

Tally Ho at home to a bit of Rapid Fire today!

Looking forward to seeing the RHA. If they look any good I will have to get some myself. They would make fine crew form my lightning cannon - especially as they do a seated figure to drive the steam limber.

Yes it did, thanks for reminding me I have been meaning to write some comments.
Its still patiently awaiting construction, but my initial impressions are excellent. It has loads of component parts and will take quite a while to assemble. Fortunately the designer has sent me a detailed plan as to assemby, without it you woul dnever work out how it goes together.

It will be quite large when made, bigger than any of the current carriages available to buy from any wargames manufacturers.

The horses are huge, I am considering replacing them with some others, which is a shame because they are beautiful sculpts.

The driver and footman are ok, just passable as figures. I would not buy any of their other figures as they are very toy soldier like. They get away with it on these as they are seated.

I will post pics when I eventually make it up. but don't hold your breath it could be a while :)

I'd love to see that infantry marching band in one of your battles.
