Gloire in Italy!
« on: November 27, 2007, 02:09:03 PM »
Hello!

On past saturday and yesterday in Crema was held DADI.COM 2007, a very interesting and fun wargame display.
Here the official link

http://www.dadiepiombo.com/dadicom.html

We, ARES Wargame Club of Milano, presented a Gloire scenario depicting the three (four?) musketeers searching for the Queen's necklace, hidden and defended by the evil cardinal Richelieu, Milady and Cardinal Guards in a monastery and the nearby field and graveyard.
We played 3 games and we had really great fun!
The terrain and buildings was totally scratchbuilt and the miniatures are Redoubt (nuns from West Wind).
Here some pictures:

Ciao!
Marco

Wow! What a great looking table. I love the graveyard and pumpkin field (it would make a great table for a Gothic Horror game on Halloween!)

Very nice Marco - grand scenery, and the fleeing peasants were a nice touch.
I suppose you would be the producers of the Dadi e piombo magazine, right?
By the way, as far as I can tell, you're my nearest geographical neighbours on this board.

Ciao Vanvlak!

Yes, we are on the same side of the small mediterranean pond! :)
No, I'm not the publisher of Dadi&Piombo, but I've met him lot of times, and sooner or later I'll have to write something about pulp gaming for that beautiful magazine.

Ciao!

Thank you Kurgan!
I scratchbuilt all the buildings and scenic elements and actually the graveyard is my favourite!
Did you notice the grave freshly digged?

And yes, i suppose that this elements will see a lot of action in the future.

Gloire is a beautiful game.

Its a shame that we north germans havent done a suitable game report yet.

Vanvlak,

have a try with the free downloadable demo (that actually is not a demo but quite a complete set of rules!).
As well as the gangsters and science-fiction sets.
